N2  - The capacity of U-turn movement at median openings of divided arterials was estimated by using both empirical and gap-acceptance approaches. The empirical approach using regression analysis was adopted to estimate capacity of U-turn movement and investigate the effect of different relevant factors that might affect the estimated capacity. Parameters of the gap-acceptance approach were estimated and used to calculate capacity on the basis of the 1994 HCM. Finally, the results of both approaches were compared.     <p>Language: en</p>
