N2  - In 2000, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) initiated a multi-year research project aimed at examining how best to optimize the performance of freeway managed lane facilities. The research effort proved extremely timely for TxDOT. As researchers complete tasks, they provide TxDOT with specific findings so that project managers can use the findings in current projects.
