N2  - Volley-ball injuries in competitive athletes were reviewed clinically and statistically and all intrinsic and extrinsic factors with respect to players and which might interfere with the pathogenesis of lesions were considered analytically. It is maintained that precise knowledge of these injuries, in terms not only of their type and frequency but, above all, as etiopathogenetic modalities, is the only basis for a valid prophylactic and therapeutic program.<p />
