TY - JOUR PY - 2013// TI - Improvement of full stop rate by after judgement and notification of stopping behavior JO - Transactions of Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan A1 - Shimazaki, Kan A1 - Katayama, Emiko A1 - Nakamura, Ai A1 - Takahashi, Akiko A1 - Ishida, Toshiro SP - 587 EP - 592 VL - 44 IS - 2 N2 - We verified a new driving support system that judges and informs drivers whether they stopped or not after passing through an intersection with a stop sign. Participants drove a three-section experiment course including 31 stop signs. Sections one and three had no driving support. On section two, the experiment group's performance was judged and reported to drivers after they passed through the intersections, and the control group drivers were informed of the stop signs before approaching the intersections. Although the full stop rates of control group drivers were almost the same on all three sections, those of experiment group drivers on section two were remarkably higher, and those on section three were significantly higher than on section one.
