TY - JOUR PY - 2015// TI - Prevention support of inattentive driving with an alarm system based on complex stimulus for improvement of recognizability JO - Transactions of Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan A1 - Arimitsu, Akihiko A1 - Tanigawa, Hiroki A1 - Toi, Takeshi SP - 437 EP - 442 VL - 46 IS - 2 N2 - In this research, an alarm system based on complex stimulus of alarm sound and seat vibration is proposed for prevention support of inattentive driving on the approach to an intersection. First, for the purpose of evaluating drivers behavior as inattentive driving, drivers answer numerical calculations while doing a driving task using a driving simulator. Next, drivers behavior by using an alarm system based on complex stimulus are observed. Furthermore, the effective improvement of recognizability is verified by understanding drivers behavior of inattentive driving using the proposed system based on complex stiulus.
