TY - JOUR PY - 2018// TI - Effect of difference in body shape on pedestrian injury measures JO - Transactions of Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan A1 - Nagashima, Akiko A1 - Takahashi, Yukou A1 - Asanuma, Hiroyuki A1 - Suzuki, Takayuki A1 - Ohhashi, Kazuki A1 - Mori, Fumie SP - 60 EP - 65 VL - 49 IS - 1 N2 - In pedestrian protection, the effect of difference in body shape on injury measures has not been studied. An obese FE model was developed and injury measures were compared against a model representing an average male to examine the influence of pedestrian body shape on injury measures. In addition, the influence of car body shape and the body weight of a pedestrian were also investigated. As a result, the effects of these factors were quantitatively clarified.
