In 2019, Portugal registered a total of 196.202 occupational accidents that were fatal in 104 cases. The incidence rate of nonfatal accidents was 4.105,7/100.000 workers with temporary consequences requiring work absence in 138.813 cases (70.8%). The authors would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
