N2  - Although little demographic data are available about the capital offender, after thirty-one years the national series on executions is moving into a more comprehensive coverage of all prisoners sentenced to death. Statistics for 1960 included data not only on those executed during that year but also information on those whose cases were disposed of by other means and on those reported under sentence of death on January 1 and December 31.<p />
