TY - JOUR PY - 1983// TI - Gap acceptance characteristics at unsignalised urban intersections JO - Traffic engineering and control A1 - Polus, Abishai SP - 255 EP - 258 VL - 24 IS - 5 N2 - This paper is concerned with gap acceptance and traffic flow characteristics at two unsignalized T-junctions: one controlled by two YIELD signs and the other by a STOP and a YIELD sign. The main objective was to analyze gap acceptance and delay characteristics, with particular reference to the pattern of the control at the intersections. The analysis was based on a calculation of several statistical measures of accepted and rejected gaps and lags and critical gaps and lags.
