N2  - The objectives of the study described here were then to establish the extent to which a knowledge of the location of minor junctions could improve the estimates of underlying mean accident frequencies for link sites in Cheshire, and to compare the quality of the estimates based on the 'before' period accident counts, the predictive models and the empirical Bayes (EB) method. Two forms of predictive model were investigated.<p />
