The current study explores an innovative method for engaging young mothers in a family-based intervention to help reduce peripartum depressive symptoms. This descriptive study includes details on the baseline characteristics of participants, integrative support teams, and a service delivery method to engage families living rural communities. In conclusion, engaging depressed young mothers living in rural communities requires a multifaceted approach. Our approach has demonstrated promise in engaging this hard-to-reach population. Implications for clinical practice and future research are addressed.
