TY - JOUR PY - 1973// TI - Probability distribution of extreme floods JO - Highway Research Board bulletin A1 - Hardison, Clayton H. SP - 42 EP - 45 VL - 479 IS - N2 - Two aspects of the unusually large floods experienced in 1972 are discussed: how such large floods affect the computation of the 50-year peak and how these floods plot on a probability distribution of extreme floods based on analysis of 157,000 annual peaks at about 200 stream gauging stations. Weight factors are given to be used in computing 50-year peaks both with the without extreme floods included. Record URL: http://onlinepubs.trb.org/Onlinepubs/hrr/1973/479/479-009.pdf
