N2  - In recent decades, the incidence of feminicidio has been interwoven with increasing social and structural violence in Mexico, which has resulted in the need to stress its specificity to prevent the violent murders of women going unpunished. Feminicidio has become a topic of academic, political, social and cultural reflection not only due to its alarming prevalence in the country, but also because of the complexity of its characteristics.
