N2  - Knowledge of personality styles of landscape architects can help the profession clarify and achieve its goals. Towards this end, we mailed the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (Form G) to 500 randomly selected landscape architects; 126 responded. This inventory assesses four dimensions of personality: extraversion-introversion, intuition-sensing, thinking-feeling, and perceiving-judging. Like the public, the sample favored extraversion and judging; and unlike the public, the sample favored intuition and thinking. We compare these results with previous results for architects, civil engineers, and the public and discuss directions for future research on personality traits and the profession<p /> <p>Language: en</p>
