TY - JOUR PY - 1996// TI - The Interrater Reliability of the Scale for the Prediction of Aggression and Dangerousness in Psychotic Patients (PAD) JO - Criminal justice and behavior A1 - Bjørkly, Stål A1 - Havik, Odd E. A1 - Løberg, Tor SP - 440 EP - 454 VL - 23 IS - 3 N2 - This study examined the interrater reliability of the Scale for the Prediction of Aggression and Dangerousness in Psychotic Patients (PAD), an instrument designed to predict the occurrence and severity of aggressive behavior in specific situations or interactions. The results supported the PAD's interrater reliability. Mean values of intraclass correlation coefficients were acceptable for predictions pertaining to acute phase of illness and for predictions pertaining to better phase of illness. Compared to those of individual raters, the predictions of groups of raters did not substantially improve interrater reliability.
