N2  - Clayton (1974) has proposed some simple odds-ratio statistics for comparing two independent Samples of ordered categorical data. In this paper we extend these ideas to a related model for paired data. Two types of estimator are proposed and their efficiency and consistency investigated. In the special case where there are only two categories the model reduces to Cox's (1958) model for binary paired comparisons.<p /> <p>Language: en</p>
