N2  - Chlorinated (PSCl), brominated (PSBr), and iodinated (PSI) polystyrenes have been characterised and their thermal stabilities measured. Limiting oxygen indexes of PSCl + PS, PSBr + PS and PSI + PS combinations with a halogen weight content of 17% are, respectively, 20.5 and 22. PSCl, PSBr, and PSI show sufficient stability to be used as fire retardant polymer additives.<p />
