Violence against children is prevalent throughout the world but often goes unrecognized because of social acceptance, shame, or the voicelessness of children. A new report from the United Nations Children’s Fund based on administrative records, surveys, and qualitative studies collected from 190 countries over the last 2 decades (http://uni.cf/1Cut8CO) sheds light on this largely undocumented issue so that efforts can be made to bring an end to such violence.
