Healthcare services should incorporate suicide prevention as a “core component” of their work as part of a wider prevention strategy, the World Health Organization has advised in a new report. Preventing Suicide: A Global Imperative1 highlighted the importance of early identification and effective management of the mental health and alcohol disorders that can lead to suicide.
