The article summarizes some popular publications about the life-after-death phenomenon and extracts commonalities that potentially affect other topic areas in a death education course or unit. Topic areas such as coping with death, suicide and stages of dying are then examined to note the effect the phenomenon can have on the topical discussions. The article concludes with a section on precautions in teaching the phenomenon.
