TY - JOUR PY - 1980// TI - Acute pulmonary edema following carbon monoxide poisoning JO - Intensive care medicine A1 - Naeije, R. A1 - Peretz, A. A1 - Cornil, A. SP - 189 EP - 191 VL - 6 IS - 3 N2 - This report describes a patient who presented with coma and acute pulmonary edema after severe carbon monoxide poisoning. Hemodynamic evaluation revealed elevated systemic and pulmonary arterial, pulmonary wedge and right atrial pressures, together with an increased cardiac output. These findings are compatible with the hypothesis that a neurogenic mechanism plays a role in the pulmonary edema of carbon monoxide poisoning.
