N2  - The temperature of the off filament adjacent to the incandescent filament in a double beam headlight was measured in an atmosphere of 88% argon and 12% nitrogen at a pressure of 600 mm mercury. Temperatures in the range necessary to melt sealed beam glass on a filament were observed.<p />
