TY - JOUR PY - 2010// TI - Evaluating Secured by Design door and window installations: Effects on residential crime JO - Crime prevention and community safety A1 - Teedon, Paul A1 - Reid, Tim A1 - Griffiths, Polly A1 - Coleman, Roy SP - 246 EP - 262 VL - 12 IS - 4 N2 - This article reports on the quantitative findings that emerged from an evaluation of the impact of Secured by Design (SBD) door and window installations on crime figures within Glasgow Housing Association stock. The findings reveal a strong relationship between SBD installation on crime decreases when compared to the period before installation and to a similar area where no intervention took place. However, given the uneven spread of the impact, there are indications that this intervention may not work in isolation.
