TY - JOUR PY - 1974// TI - Traffic forecasting by the method of logical limits JO - Transportation planning and technology A1 - Hiesz, Victor SP - 205 EP - 215 VL - 2 IS - 3 N2 - Towns with underdeveloped built up areas and traffic do not provide sufficient base data for a realistic traffic forecast. By the proposed theory future traffic volumes may be predicted from surveys of land use, national and household incomes, standard of living projections and home interviews. Future traffic demands can be assessed by reasonable limits, considering both upper and lower logical limit?values of the development possibilities. This method has been developed and employed in drawing up the land use?transportation plan of a Nigerian town.
