TY - JOUR PY - 1993// TI - Client satisfaction with psychotherapy in two outpatient clinics in New Zealand JO - Evaluation and program planning A1 - Deane, Frank P. SP - 87 EP - 94 VL - 16 IS - 2 N2 - This article examines client satisfaction with outpatient psychotherapy in New Zealand. The 93 subjects who completed the eight-item Client Satisfaction Questionnaire (CSQ-8) reported high levels of satisfaction with treatment. There were positive correlations between satisfaction and symptom change on both therapist and client-rated outcome measures. No differences were found in levels of satisfaction among clients receiving different modalities of treatment in addition to psychotherapy. It is suggested that future research explore satisfaction with different components of psychotherapy as one way of improving service delivery and effectiveness.
