This article examines four means of modeling SSR within the context of a stabilization operation for use within the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory's suite of stabilization models. It examines the means to represent the improvement of host nation units, represent security sector capability building activities, measure the progress of high-level SSR and represent Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration.
