N2  - A systems analysis of the police emergency response system is presented. Operational aspects related to the system are studied using simulation modeling techniques. The paper discusses the development of the New York City Police Department's Emergency Response System Model, indicates areas for policy simulation concerning manpower and resource allocation. Results demonstrating some application areas are presented. The paper also discusses data problems encountered.<p />
