N2  - The effects of a limitation of the sale of alcohol on accidents was analysed. A statistically significant drop was established in the number of patients admitted at week-ends, and the number of heavily intoxicated patients decreased very much. Significant decreases were noted in cases of murder, manslaughter, and assault and battery, and in accidents at industrial and building sites.<p />
