N2  - 22 children suffering from fractures and dislocations of the spinal column were seen at the Surgical Dept. of the Medical Academy of Erfurt from 1960 to 1976. This came up to 4.3% of all patients with injuries of the spine. The treatment was conservative. Vertebral fractures, without concomitant paralysis of the medulla had a favourable prognosis. In two third of the patients followed up a spontaneous compensation of deformed growth could be observed.<p /> <p>Language: de</p>
