N2  - The Los Angeles County Health Department reports an outbreak of chemical poisoning among 19 persons in a private household. Of these, 11 became ill with dizziness, weakness, "hot taste in mouth," vomiting, nausea, and slight diarrhea less than 30 minutes after eating mustard greens. The greens were from a truck farm where the mustard was sprayed with nicotine sulphate the day before being picked. Laboratory examination of the mustard greens revealed the presence of nicotine alkaloid.
