N2  - Sea urchin spine injuries can range from minimal local trauma to chronic synovitis and arthritis, with long term morbidity. The abundance of these marine creatures in shallow sea water exposes the potential for injury of the extremities, especially the foot, knees, and hands. Early treatment is crucial to avoid future consequences of these injuries. We report a case of chronic synovitis of the foot in an adolescent, treated surgically two years after the initial insult, with complete resolution of symptoms.<p />  <p>Language: he</p>
