This article reviews the literature concerning the impact of exposure to domestic violence on the health and developmental well-being of children and young people. In view of the vastness of this literature and the varying theoretical bases from which researchers conduct their studies, this paper can only be an introduction to the subject, but it does provide a much more comprehensive and balanced approach to the subject.
