N2  - A method developed from theoretical studies of the decision and problem-solving process was partially applied to a major aircraft accident.  The analysis provided a different way of viewing the human error that occurred in the accident.  The analysis to find a set of decision/problem conditions that composed of the state that caused the accident.  There was a brief discussion of some of the more cogent conditions, and some suggestions were made for the use of the method to yield further information or as a training device.<p />
