N2  - This article offers guidelines for conducting preventive mental health interventions using a Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD) model with Air Force and other aviation communities that have experienced a fatal aircraft mishap. The guidelines are based on the authors' experiences in providing assistance to several hundred active duty military personnel and their families following two separate mishaps.
