N2  - In conclusion it can be said that domestic violence in rural populations is a very complex situation in which many rural women find themselves. The nurse or other healthcare provider, in the rural setting, has to recognize the prevalence of intimate partner violence in their aggregate and find ways to not only screen these women, but also assist them in their plight for freedom from abuse.
