N2  - Aircraft turnround at civil airports is a complex of activities which require co-ordination and control. This paper describes the behaviour, under stress, of a control unit with this function. The symptoms of distress, the diagnosis and the measures prescribed to prevent complete breakdown and to create reserve capacity are discussed. This is a case history.<p />
