This technology was based on the reaction alkaline detoxication of mustard; the major component of reaction mixture obtained after detoxication was thiodiglycol. Thorough thiodiglycol mineralization was achieved by electrochemical treatment. Electrolysis products were biologically utilized in biosorber.
