N2  - In this paper, the authors present a process for validating the performance of a driving simulator.  Using virtual reality, a freeway environment for a two vehicle car-following experiment is described. The accuracy and reliability of the data retrieved is analyzed and shown to be consistent with the real driving actions of acceleration or deceleration.<p />
