N2  - The paper reviews the periodical literature in the field of peace research. It describes in some detail the history and orientation of all periodicals that define themselves as peace research publications, as well as a few closely related titles. Three geographically distinct research communities are discussed: the North American, the European and the Japanese. A full bibliographical listing is provided as an appendix. The paper was prepared for a UNESCO meeting, and the author concludes with a set of recommendations to UNESCO regarding the development of peace research information activities.<p />
