%X This article discusses the use of electricity to double or triple the power generated by a bicyclist without replacing the effort the rider has to maintain. The author begins by reminding readers of the concepts that have guided the imagination of the cycle manufacturers. The author then assesses the parameters that have improved the performances of these "electro-cyclists" while being ecologically sound as well as speaking to the cyclist's budget, taste for the open air, and sense of responsibility for the environment. The article concludes with a discussion of how future generations will need to make other discoveries to improve the present electro-cycle.<p />
