%X This article explores the impact of exposure to extreme violence on inner-city young-people. The clinical findings are based on a 21/2-year murder project that the author conducted, in conjunction with a grassroots anti-crime organization in Kansas City, Missouri. The implications of the project and its clinical findings for community action and social policy are discussed. <p />
