%X This article examines the disconnection of a heavy truck's tire from its rim as a result of a head-on crash, with a focus on determining which side of the tire was mounted inboard. The examination includes a study of the rim flange and the tire's bead pattern. Observation and documentation of the tire printing on its rim allowed for a conclusion about which side of the tire was present on the outboard face of the rim flange. (TRID)<p />
