%X Twelve building materials were tested in the ISO-Dual Chamber according to the procedure described in ISO/TR 5924. The smoke potential of materials as given by the maximum optical density covers a range of 3 units; combined with the half-life of smoke it provides a good basis for a ranking. An interpretation of results in relation to a defined fire scenario is given.   <p></p>
