%X Summary It is noted that of these four methods, gas chromatography provides the most reliable results. An obvious advantage of this technique is that accurate results can be obtained from putrified tissue. The author provides a description of the procedures and results of an analysis of carbon monoxide in a blood sample conducted using gas chromatography techniques.<p />
