%X This qualitative study addresses how the various agencies (e.g., child welfare, juvenile court, mental health, education) that are responsible for providing services to abused or neglected children or children with disabilities fulfill their responsibilities to a population of foster children with disabilities. The study focuses on the interventions undertaken by legal advocates on behalf of 12 children who were removed from the homes of their parents because of abuse or neglect. It reveals the specific failings, inadequacies, and abuses within and between the multiple agencies responsible for providing services to the children.

Language: en
