%X This study aims to evaluate the attachment style of authors of domestic violence and to determine its influence on emotional and instrumental aggressiveness. Fifty subjects were selected from a jail population. Gender, nationality, age, anxiety, depression, personality disorders and psychotic disorders were controlled. The data were collected using the questionnaire stir la resolution des conflits conjugetax (CTS2), the questionnaire d'attachement amoureux (QEAA) and the questionnaire d'agressivite instrumentale et emotionnelle (QAIE). The results indicate that the vast majority (94.7%) of the authors of domestic violence present an "insecure" attachment style (p<0.5). In addition, their style of romantic attachment does not seem to significantly influence their emotional and instrumental aggressiveness. (C) 2008 Societe francaise de psychologie.
