%X A general statement of present status and research procedure suggestions are made on the following problems: (1) minimum specifications to assure adequate uniformity; (2) what conditions warrant traffic control signals; (3) relative efficiency of non-mechanical and mechanical control; (4) formula for cycle and internal lengths; (5) relative efficiency of various types of coordination; (6) economic cost of traffic delay; (7) uniform cost accounting method for traffic control signal installation; (8) administrative control of traffic control signals.<p />
