The author summarizes the results of a report commissioned by the Dutch government to analyze the state of para-professional work, describes her own work in the Former Yugoslavia and makes recommendations for the training of Western feminists to work in war regions. She also examines the effects of the trauma of doing this work on her own life.<p />",
