abstract="An acute poisoning on a 52 years old man who ingested 31 grams of an organophosphorus agent, is described. The patient was treated with gastric lavage, pralidoxime and atropine, and with prolonged mechanical ventilation. As intoxication signs disappeared at 8 days, the treatment was discontinued; the patient showed relapse cholinergic symptoms and the same treatment was continued. Clinical course is favourable, after 22 days of treatment and mechanical ventilation. This case report shows the interest of prolonged administration of oximes; plasmatic cholinesterases measurement is not helpful for treatment. High doses of oximes are to be evaluated.<p /><p>Language: fr</p>",
