abstract="Ratol is a commonly used rodenticide containing yellow phosphorous. It is commonly used to control pest in grain storage and household. Easy availability, high fatality and inexpensive nature are the predominant reasons for it being commonly employed for suicidal purposes. Here a case is presented where a 30-year-old female consumed Ratol and died after 6 days of hospitalization. History, clinical features, autopsy findings were suggestive of Ratol poisoning but viscera report was negative. Histopathology of uterus was suggestive of early pregnancy. Legal and medical issues related to the case are discussed. © 2022, Medico Legal Society. All rights reserved.<p /><p>Language: en</p>",
